Purpose of Sons of Silas
The goal of Sons of Silas Retreat is to provide an atmosphere of
positive Christian encouragement for all pastors and church
staff members. This retreat addresses help with problems and
difficulties unique to those serving in positions of spiritual
leadership in their area of ministry.
The Sessions

Dr.
Dennis Swanberg will be this years presenter. Dr. Swanberg is a
nationally known speaker and author. In two sessions (Monday
afternoon and Tuesday morning), Dr. Swanberg will be discussing
the concepts in his new book,
The ManCode. The mission
of
The ManCode is to provide men with keys to unlocking a
balanced life to strengthen their relationship with God, their
advisors, their friends, their church, their community... and
ultimately their world. Monday night, Dr. Swanberg will let
loose with some of his down-home humor. Registered participants
may bring one guest to the Monday evening session.
Lodging
A block of rooms ($84 for single or double occupancy) have been
reserved until August 16, 2008, so please mention the SOS
conference when making your reservations. Reservations can be

Registration
Registration fee is $25. Lodging and meals are not included in
the registration fee. Registration is on a first-come,
first-served basis. The retreat is expected to fill up so please
get your registration in early. Please register online at this
website. The registration fee is not due until you check in at
the retreat.

Golf Tournament
There will be a golf tournament on Tuesday afternoon of the
conference. The tournament is open to all registered
participants of the conference who are in attendance on Tuesday
morning. There is a separate fee for the golf tournament. For

Directions to DeGray
DeGray Lake Resort State Park is a 30-minute drive south of Hot
Springs, Arkansas, on Scenic 7 Byway, or take Exit #78 off I-30
at Caddo Valley/Arkadelphia and travel seven miles north on
Scenic 7 Byway.
